Due to the lockdown, a lot of people have lost their livelihood, run out of cash, meaning they are struggling to even afford a day’s meal. The situation is worse for those living below the poverty line. These daily wagers, labourers do not have a penny to fetch a meal.
A large number of COVID affected patients in hospitals and their attendants have been facing the same problem.
To combat the situation and help people in need, Bosco Delhi came up with the initiative “Meals on Wheels”. Under this, it distributed 500 packets of cooked meals a day to over 6500 persons in government hospitals, bus terminals, colonies and street so far.
Started on 12th May, 2021, Wheels on Meals is all set to roll on for the next 100 days.
