Don Bosco Network partner Coordinated Action for Urban Village Empowerment and Resource Identification (CAUVERI), Tiruchy reached out to thousands of vulnerable people as part of the Don Bosco Solidarity COVID-19 relief work.
Groceries were distributed to 300 families in Tiruchy, 50 families in Keeranur, 100 families in Dindigul, 100 families in Keelaeral, 50 families of blind people in Manikandam, 50 families in Coimbatore, 50 families in Melanmarainadu, 250 elderly people in Nettur, 200 families in Salem, 50 tribal families in Yercaud. Besides these, play materials and groceries were distributed for migrant labourers in Tiruppur, sanitisers and masks for the police in Varadarajanpet, and meals provided to100 people daily in Yercaud.
The Don Bosco Network in India comprises of 11 Planning and Development Organisations (PDOs), each dedicated to the development of the Salesian provinces they serve. The Don Bosco network is spread across 29 states and 354 NGOs, reaching more than 10 lakh people.
