COVID-19 created a huge digital divide between the rich and the poor, the rural and the urban in accessing online coaching. A lot of children were forced to drop out of school because of the inaccessibility to smart phones.
To enable these vulnerable children to access online education during the COVID lockdown, Don Bosco Network provided 163 children with mobile phones or television sets to access online classes.
The students could access their online classes and continue learning without a hitch.
It also supported 6,909 students for school fee, provided education material, and equipped 17 schools with technology to provide distance education to rural students.
Bosconet - Don Bosco Network harnesses resources for the efforts of sustainable future of India by Don Bosco India, spanning 28 states, 11 interstate Planning and development organisations and 350+ NGOs.
