Implemented in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy, the Supporting Holistic Initiatives for Nurturing Education (SHINE) programme supports the holistic growth of 290 vulnerable children across Delhi–NCR. In safe, engaging centres, children receive academic support and learn essential life skills through stories and interactive sessions. Daily Non-Formal Education and tuition classes strengthen reading, writing, and comprehension skills, especially for those reconnecting with school after dropping out.

Health and hygiene awareness remains an important part of the programme. Children learn about clean habits and personal care, while adolescent girls attend menstrual hygiene sessions that build comfort and confidence. Creative activities such as drawing, dance, yoga, and Children’s Day celebrations add joy, expression and social bonding.

Regular medical camps at Ashalayam and Ramprastha ensure timely check-ups and health support. With its holistic approach, the ongoing SHINE Project continues to help children grow academically, emotionally and physically, laying a strong foundation for a brighter future.
