The state of Assam was ravaged by unprecedented floods in June 2022. Over 37 lakh people have been affected across 4500 villages.
Marginalised families were displaced from their homes as floodwaters destroyed their houses. Houses, livestock, and agricultural produce were destroyed, creating a widespread humanitarian crisis.
Bosconet- Don Bosco Network, with the support of Give India, through its disaster relief response, addressed the critical needs of the vulnerable communities, shifting them to relief camps and supporting them through dry ration kits and hygiene materials from 20.06.2022 to 18.09.2022.
Emergency Flood Relief Kits consisting of nutrition and hygiene items were distributed to 4595 families consisting of 19906 people (approximately)
We’re grateful to and appreciate our partner, Give India for the support towards the affected during the crisis.
