Flood Relief - Delhi

Floods in parts of Delhi in 2023, disrupted access to food and basic necessities for several families, particularly in low-income settlements. Bosconet focused on reaching the flood-affected households in Burari and Mahipalpur with essential supplies and cooked meals. Implemented by BOSCO, Delhi with the support from local partners, the effort prioritised timely assistance to families facing immediate shortages.

Key Interventions & Impact
● Distributed ration kits to 100 families in Burari in collaboration with Holy Family Sisters
● Extended ration support to an additional 100 families in the Mahipalpur slum areas
● Provided cooked meals to flood-affected individuals and families
● Addressed immediate food needs during the crisis period
● Reached over 200 families impacted by floods

Meeting Immediate Needs on the Ground
Relief efforts ensured that families had access to food and basic supplies during the floods. Alongside material support, Bosconet brought together local partners and volunteers to coordinate timely assistance where it was most needed.
