Floods across multiple districts in Assam (2023) disrupted access to food and essential supplies, particularly for vulnerable communities. The relief response focused on reaching affected households quickly with basic provisions. Implemented through local network partners Bosco Reach Out (BRO), Guwahati and AIDA, Dimapur, the effort covered eight districts - prioritising families with limited access to immediate support.
Key Interventions & Impact
● Distributed dry ration kits to 6,000 families across eight districts
● Focused on vulnerable populations in flood-affected areas
● Reached approximately 30,000 individuals with essential food supplies
● Enabled short-term food security during the floods
Addressing Immediate Needs
Ration support by Bosconet ensured that the flood-affected families had access to basic food supplies during the disruption. The distribution helped stabilise household needs in the immediate aftermath of the floods.
